anyone out there who paints, where do you get your canvases from? the sort that don't need framing.
we have a local art shop which sells them, but i was hoping to find some which are pretty cheap. au naturel used to sell some (i never bought any) and i've had some from aldi when they had an art special offer thing. looking on-line none stand out as particularly reasonable/cheap. thanks.

Have you tried 'The Works', which mainly sell remaindered books but also stock some art items?

'The Range' might also be worth trying:

thanks chris. never heard of those two places.
Have you tried Hobbycraft - they seem to have an enormous range in my local store.

You can find your nearest store from their website, on buy online. Whether their prices are comparatively low or not I wouldn't know I'm afraid.

no canary, i hadn't even thought of them :) thanks for the reminder.
lots of places to try now. i really thought they'd be cheaper to buy on-line but it seems not, or maybe i just haven't found the right site.
Question Author
been to hobbycraft today and bought some canvases half price.
also went to the local art shop and they were more or less the same price..so i bought some there too. just need to be inspired now :)
thanks for all your suggestions, would never have thought of any of them.
