There is a new advert on the tv which looks as though it has been filmed on a mobile phone. There is a gang of teenagers having fun and playing around and then there is a horrible scene at the end when one of them gets hit by a car. My husband thinks it is real footage, is he right? It looks real but I didn't think they would be able to show it.
If its the one where the boy is texting his girlfriend across the road and gets hit by a van its not real as the girl actress s sister is in my sons class in school. Look very realistic though as does the one where the car comes over the wall into the garden and kills the little boy.
I know which advert u are on about H. I have seen it, and yes it is very disturbing. I dont know if it is real or not but it certanly looks real. I think that if the ad company asked the parents permission then maybe they would be able to get away with it, using a 'shock treatment' kind of way to get kids to be carfeul.
Isn't it horrific? I thought it was real at first too, but only because it's shot so well. They wouldn't be able to use real footage. The new Think! adverts are really hitting home, I think they're shocking, but they need to be to get the message across.
I love it, but only because I'm constantly shouting after my 13 & 14 year olds chatting & texting as they walk out the door "WATCH THE ROAD" everyone thought I was over the top, but on seeing that advert the whole room went quiet. Whoever devised it knows what they are doing I'd say, hard to watch but very effective.
