high running temp

athough there is no sign of water leakage the runnig temp on my vaux cavalier reaches 95 even on short trips bringing on the rad fan .there is no sign that water is present in the oil as it looks fine when the oil cap is removed.is this normal for this model

Sounds like your thermostat is faulty

A faulty thermostat would make the car run cold. What happens if you run the car for a long time?
