Removing Secuirty Suite Virus

I REALLY hope someone can help.
I foolishly downloaded what I thought was a security programme called Security Suite.
It now seems its a virus that fools your computer into thinking its infected or being attacked so you go & buy the (very expensive) software from Security Suite.
Ive got Mcafee so im sure my laptop is protected- but it doesnt pick up security suite as a virus. I wasnt it off my laptop as it is now preventing me from accesssing all manner of applications. It wont let me go to 'add & remove software' from the control panel- its obviously protecting itself... I downloaded a programme called spyware doctor that said it would get rid, but the security suite virus wont let me open that programme as it says its infected!! I got loadds of work to get done & im getting mad.. please help!!!

It won't do. The software asked if you wanted to download it and you agreed. It did nothing underhand spsart from fooling you into downloading it. Anti-virus cannot protect against user's decisions.
