windows start up immediate display box

when i turn the laptop on before i can do anything, (inc. click on the start menu - bottom left) i have to click ok on this display message which appears. it reads something with the message containing something like "L Update mfc" Laptop works perfect at all times, online, during games etc but just really annoying me! any ideas how to get rid of this message?
