Washing Machine problem

When my wash has finished, the clothes don't smell 'clean' neither do they smell of conditioner. Why is this ? The conditioner has gone through from the top. I have to pour more conditioner in, and do another rinse and spin.

Advice from my wife:
1. if your machine is a front-loader, make sure that the door seal is thoroughly dry when the wash has finished. If water is allowed to remain in the seal, it can give off a stagnant smell.
2. make sure that you wash at the temperature recommended on the clothes' labels. Washing at too low a temperature may not do a thorough job.
3. in between washes, leave the machine door open. Not wide, a little bit will do, to ventilate the drum.
4. in between washes, place one Tesco Summer Fresh tumble dryer sheet in the drum and leave it there to freshen the drum. Remove the sheet before the next wash.
5. is the filter clean?
If none of the above works, an engineer might be required. Best of luck.

The last time we had our Bosch serviced, the engineer told me to scrub out the soap tray with a biological cleaner (an Aerial solution will do the trick). Then tackle the inside of the tray space with a toothbrush, removing all the mould & congealed soap/conditioner that inevitably builds up over time. Then thoroughly clean the seal with soda.
Replace the tray,then run the machine at it's hottest programme using a generous dose of washing soda. (I use about a third of a packet for this)
Result - lovely clean innards & fresh smell.
Repeat every couple of weeks to keep slime & bacteria at bay.

Needless to say, this needs to be done to an empty machine!

try doing an empty wash with about half a bag of soda crystals on the hottest wash.

Could the water holes above the soap dispencer be blocked?

remove soap tray and clean thuoroughly .a build up of old soap can smell and block pipes to

Funnily enough I bought a mould cleaner and sprayed inside the compartment where the conditioner and powder goes. Then I did some washes and that was when I got this horrible smell. It seems to be going off now, maybe it washed through. Thanks everyone x
