Do the clues and grid conform in the print version?
The on-line version (except for the first three across) is wildly off.

Do not worry . Forgive me if you have realised it already but 1. e clues are as follows ;
Across 1,6,13 OK
14 ( 9 )
Then simply bring the number of letters ascribed to one clue down to the next . So 16 becomes 9,6,7

Down

1. (9)
then all others take their no. fomr the previos clue .

After that it is plain sailing

Thanks Alcibiades. Clever of you to have seen through the Times latest dodgy attempt to confuse its readership.
I would be interested to know how errors like that occur.
Also, does the print edition check out normally?

I have just been on-line to fill it in and it is OK now, so I guess they have amended it. Have another go. Good luck.

Don't think so Kilifi. I checked back and saw no change from the original derangement.
However was able to complete the puzzle nevertheless.
