worst summer ever?

has this been the worst summer holiday ever? weather wise

August has been lousy but the rest of the time since May has been excellent down here - I think it's been a good summer this year, hot days have been very hot here.

yeah I agrre about global warmng, our seasons are all gone to pot...........whats gonna happen in say 20 years when the kids are grown?

I'd forgotten that Eddie, I think they said Newcastle had a hosepipe ban earlier this year?

pasta, I posted earlier to you but perhaps you didn't see it - the thread where you said you could see Plymouth Sound. My sister used to live in Mount Batten, and OH lived in Heybrook Bay when he was a child.

same as boxtops: damp August but in June-July our lawn was looking very yellow. It hasn't done that for years - the last two summers were non-events but this one has been a partial event, which is a big improvement.

EDDIE...I can assure you there have been no water shortages or hosepipe bans in THIS part of the UK...obviously-weather varies enormously.

Censor at work, lushlar! agree Pasta, some parts have been rough for weeks - my MIL lives south of Glasgow and it's been wet for weeks.

Nahh - it only got cold and wet a few days ago ! We're spoilt here in Blighty.
