New Bank Holiday.

We were promised a new Bank Holiday, so what date/time of the year would you prefer.

The UK was told that there would be a new bank holiday to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee in 2012, and that it will be at the beginning of June added on to the other holiday then. This would mean that then there will be Easter, followed by May Day, then the Whitsun holiday and the new one, all within less than 3 months.

There will be a new holiday on Tuesday 5th June 2012 in aid of the Diamond Jubilee but it may only be a one-off. There was talk in November 2009 that we possibly would have a new holiday in October 2012 but that has not been mentioned again.

I would think that if the Queen died first then you go without the June date!

If the Queen died first then it would be a state funeral.When a state funeral occurs there is a holiday.
