I want to buy a DVD player and want to get one that has the most benefit to me. I have lots of media on my computer and would like to put them onto CDs to play on a DVD player - is this possible? Or only with the most expensive models?Or would a DVD player need some modification to do this?

Any DVD player can play any Music CD and some can play MP3 discs and VCD's etc... But yes Any DVD player can play any CD, ones you buy in a shop or ones you burn yourself. Use Nero 5 (or a program like) and listen away to your hearts content!
If you want to play video clips and mp3s without converting them to standard cds, you need a dvd player that will handle those formats (vcd for the clips). They don't all, but there are very cheap models that do like Cyberhome for less than 100. For help in making cds try www.vcdhelp.com. There are also reviews of players.
