cysitis ???
cystitis? STDs?
You should head to your local GU clinic for a checkup.

(and believe me - burning wee is the least of your problems if you get kidney stones)
Perhaps you need to be treated for thrush too. You can buy fluconazole over the counter.

Also, avoid tea, coffee, alcohol and fruit juices. Drink plenty of water and cranberry juice which is noted for its beneficial effects when fighting urinary tract infections.
This for me is a sore subject hunni. My aunt has always suffered withwater infections and was constantly goin to the gp. he kept passin it off as an infection and she got in with another dr at her surgery and she sent her for a scan the same day. to cut a long story short she had chancer of the bladder which was missed each time and her whole life has been turned around in 2 weeks :(she is terminally ill and has 6 months to live as its spread everywhere due to the time she kept goin and he kept passin it off! Make sure you insist and be firm with your doctor because we are goinbg to loose such a wonderful women :(
I suggest a return visit to your GP, and take a sample of your urine for culture. You may not have had a long enough course of antibiotics as well.
Sounds like cystitis to me. I had it after an op - a dose of appropriate medication cleared it up very quickly. Go back and see a different doctor.
Did the Doc prescribe Trimethoprim? That's a strong antibiotic especially for urinary tract infections. Usually a 3 day course consisting of just 6x250mgs is sufficient to clear it up.
I presume the antibiotics were prescribed for cystitis? Don`t know which ones you have but I was prescribed trimethoprim for cystitis several years ago and although the GP assured me they don`t cause thrush, boy did I suffer with thrush? Caused the burning sensation so a Diflucan was the only thing that helped

What do you mean that you have been checked for kidney stones?
What investigations have you had? X-Rays? Cystoscopy? etc.?
Question to Donna101: I was wondering if your aunt was a smoker. I have read that most bladder cancers are related to smoking. Thanks
