Adjusting uPVc Door
4 Answers
My Back Door has dropped a little and is now rubbing on the floor.
Its a upvc door with three hinges.
The three hinges each have three adjustment points (with the use of a alum key)
Top, Bottom and the side.
which one should i be adjusting to heighten the door?
Its only about a milimetre
Thanks in advance

Use an Allen key on the top hinge to make the door closer to the hinge jamb......... at the same time, adjust the bottom hinge to move the door away from the hinge side.
If necessary ............. adjust the middle one to move closer to the hinge jamb
............... then keep fiddling ............ good luck

Often the whole door goes out of square. The panels or glass then need to be removed and repacked. Look at the weld seams, check they line up with the ones on the frame or are equal both sides if dropped.
Sounds like you have flag hinges, there are hundreds of different ones. Just experiment to find if it's the top or bottom, one will raise/lower and the other be eccentric to get in/out side to side. Try to keep the height equal on all rather than have it hanging on just one.
