okay, wall tiles delivered.

I ordered 14 sq metres. each tile measures 30 x 60mm. approximately how many tiles should I have?

can someone work that out for me, please? sorry, my pea-brain can't cope!

tiles measure 30cm x 60cm
that is 0.3m x 0.6m
that is 0.18 sq m
You need 14 sq m. of tiles.
Divide 14 sqm by 0.18 sq m and you get 77.78 or, rounded up 78 tiles needed.

Plus, as has already been said, you need some extra for awkward shapes .

basically, I've paid for 14 sq metres, but only have 72 tiles. do we all agree that I should have 5 more tiles?

thank you, ladyalex (and to all those who did the hard work for me!), I've emailed the man to say I'm a square metre short. they were quite expensive, and I'm hoping he'll be fine. he's been nice so far! he had plenty of stock, so fingers crossed.

lardy, the builder will be here in just over a week. he'll know if there's enough, and tile man has agreed to supply or refund, as is needed.

like people say, it's always wise to have a few extra - at least if I'm doing your tiling because I always split a few the wrong way, or the little bits of edging take up more than I calculated. So don't just order the bare minimum.
