Seasons Holidays winner

I have just received an e-mail, informing me that I had won a competition (I remember entering something on a web site)     I have won a Seasons holiday, valued at �2,950  for one week at one of 70 luxury venues, every year of my life.  WHAT'S THE CATCH ?   I don't win prizes!   Have any other AB's received this e-mail?  At the moment it doesn't involve an 0900 number, I just had to ring a freephone number. Does anyone know anything about Seasons Holidays?  Thanks in advance.

The catch is, it isn't free.  It's the usual timeshare 'promotion'.  You have to pay an admin fee and attend a sales presentation.  After that you then find that the holiday you go for is not available & there are all sorts of extras you end up having to pay for.  They've been in trouble with the authorities before too.  Have a look

Thanks stoo-pid.    I suspected something dodgy and your links proved very helpful.   I shall bin any correspondence I may receive.   My husband thinks I am extremely naive!!!

I won this prize a few months ago too, after looking into it I decided not to take the prize, I did start receiving regular newsletters via e-mail and I'm suspicious that pretty soon I'll get a bill in the post for annual fees.

My advice,  leave it alone  !!

I also received the prize. We used it for 2 winter holidays and then found when we wanted to book in another part of the year the red week owners had first choice so of course there was never anything left for us. The whole idea is to get you to upgrade your package, to buy a red week costs about � 8000. So we declined their offer!

I won one of these prizes last year and having got it checked over by a legal bod at work decided not to bother.  Nothing illegal but not as straightforward as it seems.

We 'won' a Timeshare from this company. This week.  If it looks too good to be true it always is. There are a limited number of available weeks and a limited number of resorts. 4 in England & Wales, none in France, Germany, or Scandinavia etc. etc. Information pack returned by recorded delivery!
