Geocaching - any fans?

I'm fascinated, I have a GPS (which is essential).
I've signed up but am still trying to work out the processes.

For those who've never heard of it, geocaching is a sort of "treasure hunt", someone plants a waterproof box somewhere, things are put inside it and a co-ordinate is placed on the geocaching website.
I believe that what is inside is of little value but the etiquette is that when you find the box you 'log' your find and take what you want but replace it with something of equal or higher value then re-seal it and put it back.
Sometimes the geocache can be (eg) in a park or churchyard, or sometimes somewhere far more wild.

i heard last week that there was an app for iphone for this sort of thing, perfect for kids.
Im still trying to find the app though, so I dont hold out much hope of being able to find "treasure" lol

Countryfile did a report on it a few months ago. Not my personal thing but it sounds like a great idea, especially for kids.

It seemed to me like something that could stir people into enjoying the great outdoors again. People like me who have let it slip a bit.
