what do you do in prep for the long cold Winter Evenings?

I am already getting the darker curtains ready and looking in the shops for whats new in colours for the Winter, thoughts of Christmas Cards are in my head now <cheers boxy>
Getting geared up for a weekend away with the gals in November...

bobbi I have to do winter feeds for the livestock - couldn't manage without the fur.

There's loads of sheep live near Heathrow, on the banks of the many reservoirs.
cattle/horses/goats & poultry

I stick me freezing feet on mr.c's lovely warm back. Well, there's gotta be some advantages of being wed, eh? [:o)

I start thinking about changing my flipflops for boots about October. We don't change curtains (we don't have many, vertical blinds at most windows) might do a bit of draught proofing, otherwise nothing much changes. (Just noticed I've still got a bit of Christmas deccy up from last year, might as well leave it there now....)
