I certainly don't !

I have a choice tonight of Chorizo, goats' cheese and sundried toms.. or a kebab.

Alternatively, I could send out for a Chinese or a Curry. Either way, I would never dream of cooking a full-blown meal on a Saturday evening.

What's your choice of Saturday night fayre?

I tend to cook as I enjoy it...I do easy stuff though, chilli, cajun chicken, either fast recipes or chuck it together and leave it....delighted that the cooler weather has arrived and I can start roasting on sundays.

I took to cooking like a duck takes to water. However, I don't feel in the least inclined to do it on a Saturday. I'm prepared to take my turn on a Sunday, but would rather bow out if poss.

I hardly ever cook like I used to......I am too tired when I work(in a kitchen)...and can't be bothered the rest of the time...I am happy with some quick pasta or a jacket. All my old favourites-curries,etc...are best made for a few people.....and I have never liked frozen-and-re-heated.

Pasta.... that's half the problem - invariably I'm too tired. I see Saturdays as my day off, and Sundays as a family gathering.
I don't blame you,NoM....I think it is not so much a problem when cooking for a family, even when tired. Then-for me at least-I really enjoyed it and found it to be almost therapeutic......not any more though.
