Watched out of my window last night 5 teenagers walking down the street. Two of them are neighbours' daughters. One mother called her daughter back wagging her finger then she walked into the house. Her daughter walked back to the house and I was able to lipread her calling her mother "f ng b*tch. This mother gives her family everything so is that how you are repaid.

You are right Anne. I doubt whether the young girl concerned realised she was being spied on anyway. It all sounds quite normal to me.

Perfectly normal teenage behaviour. I did it with my mother although I'd have died if she had known, I would never and have never sworn at her and I love her to bits. I am very close to my own daughter and she is very respectful and well behaved, but I have no doubt she does the same with me when she's out with her friends and I'm spoiling her fun by telling her to get home and tidy her room. If she swore at me I'd kill her but I think it's very naive of parents to think their children are little angels all the time - they need to push the boundaries and try and be like grown ups and like each other.

Didn't we all show off to our friends, to try and show that we were "independant" ?

But, in reality ... we were completely dependant on our parents.
