We had a conker hunt at the weekend to combat the spiders. We opened them all up and now my driveway, my sons shorts and towels are all stained with rusty coloured marks from the juices of the conker shells. Anyone know how to get this off?

any good bio detergent with a bit of vanish in the mix should do it...
Our conkers round here are not nearly ripe yet !

Thanks steve/rowan - i'll try the bicarb and vinegar, I should have said Rowan that my OH has allergies so Bio washing powder and vanish are a no no for us. Need to use things without a perfume if poss. Maybe try some bleach on the flags outside - not sure with the cat being about though.

boxtops, I am probably further north than you as well, the place we get them was carpeted in them, they are a bit early really - most were ripe, but we did have some high winds so that probably brought some down. We found one really huge one which was a qaudruple conker - kids were amazed - I've never seen more than a triple before.
