Hope you have all seen the new IKEA advert (it's lovely) - if not, maybe a techno whizz person knows how to get it put on here.

Again that is what dogs are for...you miss the point dogs like to please humans...humans have to please cats...had dogs developed an aura of glamorous aloofness they might not end up on cold windy hillsides chasing the farmers woolly girlfriends..and be sitting on the best seats in the house being fed sheba
I just want to know how they managed to film that without any fights. I know that they used camera tricks etc but not one hissing match.

My two seem incapable of walking past each other without fighting or growling - and they are brother and sister.

Butch....if you were a real dog you'd be off to the vets for a 'sensitive' operation...you are far too argumentative and castration calms stroppy dogs I believe...

I wondered about the lack of cat aggro....Then again I had seven in the house for a while and not so much as a hiss... I think Frankie and Merlin are just delinquent... BTW I am thinking of setting up a facebook page for tinkerbella...would they like a feline friend
My three don't like each other at all, but they are all adults and were not brought up from kittens together. They are getting marginally more tolerant as they get older!
Ive actually had cats in my house nearly all my life, I have never actually become attached to a single cat and usually glad to see the back of them.

I'm not a huge dog lover either but I love our Wolfhounds and would not be without a Wolfhound, other peoples dogs are of little interest to me really, i think to love a dog, you need to get to know the dog.

love cats and dogs...would love a dog when I retire...if Redman will lagree...actually not sure what he thinks of dogs I know he loves cats.......
marjorie and I have just the one cat, corky, he is all black, and we are devoted to him, as he is to himself, he is asleep most of the time but we know he is aware that we love him because we provide all his food as and when he demands it from us, including his treats, fresh boiled ham and fresh turkey slices, he is very demanding when awake and plans his next demands while asleep, so, no change there then! Prudentia.
That's a great description Prudentia - lucky Corky!
we consider ourselves very priveliged to be his staff!
Puddums ...love em :-) Wouldn't shove them all into one place at the same time though - too much like school.
rowanwitch - my two have a facebook page and Frankie has a LJ bloggy thing but he forgets to update it.

When my last dog died I was adopted by George who was an old stray. I thought that cats were just like little dogs. The first morning that he woke me up (at 4am) demanding to be fed was just great fun - he licked my eyelid and tried to paw it open. I leapt up in shock and he just sat on the pillow and licked himself.

There is nothing like opening your eyes in the morning and seeing nothing but cat face or cat bum in your face. Ah - the joys of being a slave to a couple of feline gods!!
