Yet another AB layout

Yet another AB layout and yet more problems, I typed in my anser in the designated 'type your answer' field and hit 'submit' in this case to Count and Saxy, but did my answer appear?...no it did not and it was a Thank You answer, not an offensive one...it wouldn't be...so why didn't my answer appear, AB Ed or anyone?

Sometimes I get the submit button greyed out. Why it ever is I don't know, they could catch and sling null or spaces only posts anyway.

I cannot diagnose this problem right now - I am entirely unsure why your answer didn't appear.

Could you explain the last five steps of entering a question Woodelf please? I must be missing something. I am unable to replicate it.

Equally I am unable to replicate the grey'd out submit button. Can anyone enlighten me?

it's greyed out until you type a couple of letters, presumably to stop people accidentally submitting 'Type Your Answer Here' as was happening last night.

I think the 'Type your answer here' should be in bold. It's not clear enough.

Usually, but at first I had a whole answer I couldn't post. Had to select, copy, hit the "Post An Answer" button, then paste back before the button came back.
May have been a one off though.

Oh if you want a suggestion for your next change. It'd be really nice if, after clicking a link to enter a thread, it knew which page you were on when you last visited the thead, and went there, and forced a page update at the same time.

Presently click link, it's on page one. Click again to go to the page you were on, probably the 'last page' since the one you are looking at hasn't updated. Go there and see your own post but none of the ones that came after. Hit update to update the page. Finally you might be where you wanted to be from the start.

This is me using 'post an answer' this time, tabbing about six times and hitting 'enter' on an 'edit' field to get 'forms mode on'. I up arrowed before to 'type your answer' but the 'submit' button wasn't available, so I hope the 'submit' after all this will be. The 'field' in which I type is not 'labelled' coherently and it's a case of guessing which field will work, but I'll take a chance and before my characters typed run out ... smile I'll say a Great Big Many Thanks to All of you who answered....smile! Okay, here goes for the submit.....

I have discovered something about the greyed out submit button. If still of interest. Copy & paste in a full answer from elsewhere and the button stays greyed out, despite LOADS of characters. Type them in directly and the ungreying activity triggers.

I still think it is more user friendly to not grey it out in the first place, and simply check for null posts after the submit request. Not going to be passing massive amounts of data wth a null post, after all.
