i've got some cooked cubed beef for tea.
i was going to make what i call, a chunky cottage pie. Thing is though, i forgot to take it out of the freezer. Should i bung it in cold water or is there a recipe i could use where i can cook from frozen?

Take it out and leave it in the refrigerator to thaw out for using tomorrow or the day after. And make or eat something else today. I'm guessing you meant to eat it today...
Did you watch the Delia Smith programme where they shed light on frozen food? Apparently you can cook it from frozen...you just have make sure it is cooked through.

no i missed that ummm, that's very interesting.

society: I wanted to use it today as it's my day off, and i won't have time tomorrow. I don't really want to leave it another week - it's already been in there ages!
I might just risk it ♥
Risk it. They did tests in the lab and the results were cooking food from frozen is fine. Even prawns..
As you say Ummm as long as you are cooking it to a high enough temeprature inside to kill of any bacteria that may be frozen inside, it is perfectly fine.

You can't really do it with whole poultry or large joints is that you would struggle to get the inside of the meat cooked properly before the outside was burned or dried out, but not impossible.

Cubed meat should be fine - remember, you can buy frozen pies and they are perfectly safe to eat and need to be cooked from frozen.
