Prick holes in them with a fork...........microwave them for 4 minutes on full power.....put them in the oven for 30 minutes at 180.
Make sure you coat em in olive oil and rub salt in before bunging in oven, makes the skin crispy.

Cheers Craft. Always cooked em in Micro before but daughter has texted me to put them in at 6 o'clock.

Great tip there BOO.
If you don't microwave them first they'll need 90 minutes in the oven. I put mine in the oven after microwaving to make the skins crispy.
Count, if they're already baked, why would you put them in the oven?
^ bloody northern yankees.
CaS - never use my microwave for them - they are too good not to cook in the oven! I put a metal skewer through the length of the larger potatoes to help conduct the heat. Just love the skins all crispy and fluffy inside.

Stewey.......good point. You give a whole new meaning to 'pedant' ;-)
Thank you, craft and count; finally I get some recognition:)

I do what Craft does and I love eating the skins more than what's inside them.!

Butch, I have some tiramisu and a spoon.. any help?
The thing is, being a single bloke who acts on the spur of the moment, 7 mins in the Micro sounds better than 90 mins in the oven. Unfortunately, a few secs either way makes them equally hard, either undercooked or overcooked. WLTM someone with GSOH who knows how to bake taties properly in the Micro. Age and looks unimportant.
