At work, we send text messages out to young peoples' mobile phones to inform them of new jobs. It involved hooking up a mobile to a PC and using Logomanager to send the message typed onto the PC to the list of numbers exported from our database. It's very successful and now we want them all to be able to text us back. However when they do this the messages stay on the mobile attached to the PC and are limited in number because the phone can't store them all. Is there a way of getting the incoming text messages to come through and be recorded (with their phone no to identify them by) on the PC? Perhaps different software?
You can install an SMS gateway and link it to your Exchange server, so that users can send sms mesages from Outlook. You can also get it to accept sms messages and have it forward them as emails to the intended recipient.
