Cat Worries

My cat is a little over a year old. and has been very good with his litter tray until this last week.
I went away for a weekend and put him into a cattery where he has been before, since i have had him back though he has been not wanting to use it for his stools, instead he goes next to his litter tray on the carpet. I have cleaned this up and also put a little of it into his litter tray as a hint for next time, but again he doesn't use it. Please help as i'm running out of ideas.

chrissie did they perhaps use a different cat littler to you? cats are very sensitive to change and she maybe is unsettled - or something upset her over the weekend. Hopefully she will settle back into her own routine in a day or two.
