Walked up, is a sort of organised "rough shoot" where the guns walk the terrain and the game is usually put up by dogs, as oppossed to the more formal shoots in which the guns stand at their appointed peg and the game is driven onto them by beaters. A much harder sport as the game is usually put up very suddenly and often "going away" a much more challanging shot make.
