Child Lock

Hi everyone,
I have just purchased a secondhand Toshiba Satellite Laptop, I have been told
that the child lock is activated and needs unlocking,

Can anyone let me know how I can go about this, your help would
be appreciated.

I've never seen a laptop with a child lock on it....

What is this lock? where does it take effect and what does it do? and why can't the people you bought it from tell you how to disable it?

is it the little button near the finger pad? mine has that...it stops kids pressing keys...just press it...its very small and indistinct...an doesnt look much like a button...but on mine a symbol lights up an changes colour
