Mine was in 42 Commando Royal Marines. Yep! A.L.A.R.M. (Always Loving A Royal Marine!) He had just returned home from Aidan in the late '60's, all bronze and beautiful! He was my heart's delight in every sense of the word! My heart skipped a beat everytime I looked at his beautiful face! It still does when I take out his photo and look at him.
Sadly, his next tour of duty was to N. Ireland, and that is where I lost my first love, never again would he return. That's life, that's death, and that's War I guess. But part of my heart died with him. 40 years on, and yes, I still carry Him with me every day of my life. RIP Scott.
