How do you create 2 ebay accounts?
Hi, I'd be very grateful for some help.....
I recently got told off by ebay for listing a fake designer handbag. It was the first time I had been on and stupidly didnt read the terms & conditions- I thought if i was honest and said it was a fake then it was ok, but apparently not. It was a present brought back from my grandparents holiday for me and I didnt want it so thought I was doing no harm! Anyway, now I know and have slapped my own wrists as well as ebay doing it for me.
The problem is, I am gutted about this, all for the sake of one stupid bag. I was hoping (once I understand the ins and outs of selling on ebay) to open an ebay shop selling unwanted clothes etc for others. Have I completely ruined my chances during my practise shot?? Or is it possible to make a fresh start once I know what I am properly supposed to do? I.e- open a new account without being tarred with the same brush of the old one. I will lose all my good feedback but, hey. (I didn't have one neg feedback.)
Can anyone advise me on the best thing to do?
I'm a single mum and I'm desperate to make this work and get me and my son off the benefits and make this into a career and also raise some money for Cancer care through my sales. I'm so stupid and angry why didnt I think??
Please help and advise me on this.
Many thanks
P.S- please don't ask me to ask on an ebay chat room as they found out about my stupid bag and all turned on me (dont blame them if they thought I was a fraud) so i hardly think they will help me out on this one.

Ebay sent me a warning and took the item off ebay explaining that it was a fake and tat it was not acceptable.
Obviously, I never listed it again, and that was over two years ago. I never changed my account, and have totally positive feedback.
Unless your account is terminated, you don't need to have a new account. Anyone bidding on your items will only know about your current deals - not prevoius ones if no feeback was left.
Hopet his helps
I'd love to believe what you're saying, but it's so inconsistent.
You say it was the first time you've been on, yet you're worried about ruining your positive feedback.
As Charlie2010 mentioned, ebay would remove the item and slap your wrist. There would be no mention of this on your feedback.
And how many unwanted items of clothing do you have anyway?
I can't think of anyone who has enough unwanted clothes that would generate enough in sales to enable them to get off benefits.
Lets face it, the only reason you could want a seccond ebay identity is to generate fake feedback to dupe people into thinking you're trustworthy.
Not cool.
If you are genuine then I'm sorry, but it's a little far fetched.
Hi
I meant the bag is amongst one of the first items I have put on to sell and the other feedback is from 2 sales (of non fakes!!) and lots of buying I have done which has generated me good feedback which I don't want to lose.
I am going to advertise selling clothes and shoes for wealthy women in my area who wear things once or twice. Or just general wardrobe clearouts.
I don't want to create another account if I don't need to. I have nearly ruined my chances of setting up by accident (I havent done properly yet) so I certainly wouldnt be bidding my own stuff up on purpose. Hopefully i will be busy enough running my business legitimately not to have time!
Thank you so much for ALL your help. I understand why some may not have believed me- there are plenty of liars out there! But I am doing this for my son and my future and I don't want to jeapardise the whole thing for the sake of a sale of one fake bag!
