Buy it now on Ebay

Hi if an item has a buy it now price and a auction price as well, does the first bid someone makes cancel out the Buy it now?
I just bid on a item and the buy it now option has gone...

It did do but the last 2 weeks i have noticed that the buy it now price has still been there aswell as the bids underneath it so im not sure if ebay have changed the settings or not? if so then im all for it makes more sense to keep the Buy it now price up all through the auction!!

I almost got caught out by that feature but luckily the items made more than the buy it now price eventually.

It's also possible that the seller decided to cancel the "Buy it Now" price thinking the auction would produce a higher selling price if left to run...

it only cancels out the option to you...other people can still buy it now...
