Having just had Guillaume le Bât a r d reduced to a Bâ****, is it possible to have a list of words we can't use? 8-)

AB thought you were saying Bastard; which of course you were but in French.

I think the ED has now accepted Bastard as being an acceptable word and I am merely putting it to the test.

Historians will know that Guillaume le Batard was the Bastard son of Robert 1 the Duke of Normandy and that he was king of England 1066 - 1087.

Fascinating: I had bastard (not an insult in context.) redacted to "Little Bustard" just a few days ago. I sympathise with ED, language being such a slippery bas..er..swine
