I thought about you the other week. I was in Morrisons and a woman in front of me put two pomegranates on the scale. She pressed "onions" on the touchpad, but they were deffo pomegranates - it set off an alarm and an assistant came to help.
I chuckled as I did wonder if it'd been deliberate, but I also wondered how the scales knew they were pommies and not onions. They definitely looked similar. Do you think there is a way the scales can differentiate now? If not, why did an alarm sound ... what do you think?

Never had that problem mrs.c, and cant see how the scales can tell the difference unless somebody was watching as she does it all the time.
I still do it every week and get a bit of a zing out of it, even though I can afford the real price.
I do it on the leeks as well as they are very expensive :-)
