Daft names for pets..

From when I was growing up and mine I've had cats called Jasper, Jinx, Heathcliffe and currently Anoushka and Mishka (Nush and Mish). Heathcliffe as he was a stray I rescued and a very handsome one at that so the name suited (Wuthering Heights), Nush and Mish are also rescue cats and came with the names Cheeky and Squeeky and I figured two such gorgeous little girls deserved proper gorgeous girl names (despite my Russian friend later pointing out Mishka is actually a boys name!).

Had hamsters called Dennis, Dexter, Fluffy, Marty, Albie (Albino) and Jerry and Bailey the rat. Ruby the rabbit who turned out to be a boy despite his constant "pestering" of Patch the guinea pig.

My brother had a fish called Nigel and my parents have Roy the Koi carp in their pond.

once raised a blind sheep - Rambo cos he was such a toughie - he learnt to gallop towards my voice but would stop dead in his tracks if I yelled Whoa - great for exercising him without him having to wear a crash helmet!

I have cat called Apep. She is the egyptian godess of distruction and Cronos Titan, A ginger tom named Diego after the diego in Ice age 2 a short stocky ginger dog called Jock after Jock of the Bushveldt

My brother called his cats Dickens and Jones after the shop - and OH's brother just called his cat Seefer and his dog Deefer.

Sorry to deviate from your thread but in todays Express there is a spokesman for Asda called Ged Futter. I wouldn't even call my dog that.
