Printer blues

I have a BJc 1000 bubble jet printer with a colour ink cartdridge but keeps printing THINGS in yellow ! I have tried everthing .....help its wasting my time and paper !!!

Two things to try:

(1) the colour cartridge may have run out of blue ink (most likely)

(2) check the printer settings - try troubleshooting if you're using windows XP

...probably just bunged up...there should be maintainence instuctions somehre to do a head cleaning routine......

My God - there are still BJC1000 printers working????? At least in yellow? Get a new one for pity's sake. They're cheap enough nowadays

i think the advice to upgrade to a new printer is sound, condisering what it costs for genuine canon cartridges, as they have a coolent in the inks its not worth risking using the "fill your own cartridges inks", bite the bullet and buy a new printer, but check out the cost of the cartridges too b4 you buy.
