Apologies if this has already been answered somewhere.
Earlier this year, I visited my local A&E as I'd had earache for a few days and was woken in the night in agony. Had no painkillers left and I was very worried so hubby took me along. They were very helpful and gave me painkillers and a prescription for antibiotics. They also referred me to the ENT clinic. However, by the time the appt came through, I had finished the course of antibiotics and the problem had gone and the clininc was a waste of time as they only did a hearing test and said nothing was wrong. Anyway, the point of my question is, as you have to tell the hospital who your doctor is, do they then inform your doctor that you have been to the hospital?
I only ask because i've not had to go to the doctors since, but I do have recurring ear problems and wondered if I did have to go, would my doctor be aware that i'd had to go to A&E?
Hope that makes sense.
