Under what circumstances would a machine gunner in the First world war; be found sheltering, wounded ( arm and leg blown off ) under a dead horse, and be mistaken for a Cavalryman of the 11th Hussar at the Battle of Arras ( scarpe ) ?
I thought the same at first but it is fact not fiction.
I am helping a friend who has no access to a computer, find out about his Grandfather who was a machine gunner at the second offensive of the above battle.
