I have just finished watching volume three of the Emergency Ward Ten tv series. The final programme on the fourth disc dated episode 759 (24/11/64) ended with the three hospital sister's viewing their new apartment. They suddenly hear noises coming from above and are all scared as the block is supposed to be empty. This cliffhanger has left me wanting to know "who was in the flat above and what happened"? Can anyone please tell me?

oooo I probably watched it back then but can't remember, we had an EW10 jigsaw and annual one christmas, probably about 1964, les large and the blonde nurse were in the jigsaw.
on a friday night before take your pick ?
I remember EW10 was on when the news came through that JFK had been shot
also remember the disaster in wales when the childrens school was buried under the old mine heap ?
Oh yes anne - Aberfan. As unbelievable as 9/11
those are the two disasters i recall when i was a child, i remember my mother being very upset about the school.
I have my late mother's diaries and they are fascinating to flick through. The most poignant for me is 6 February 1952 - 'The King died today'. She was by no means an avid diarist but all notable events are recorded.
I believe EW10 was on twice a week. Although I used to watch it regularly the only things I can remember are the Australian actor Charles Tingwell who played one of the doctors and who died not so long ago; also a scene in one episode where a character was standing in front of a coal fire in her nightdress which caught alight. That gave me nightmares.
it was the casualty of the time.
Funnily enough mike I was talking to Big Sis 2 days ago and recalled the actress Kathleen Byron who played Mrs de la Roux - she seemed to get younger over the years. Frederick Bartman was my favourite Dr from the series.
