According to a recent survey, the mid-life crisis is now striking a little earlier than is traditionally expected:

"21% of men and women aged 35 to 44 said they felt lonely a lot of the time, and a similar percentage said that bad relationships, either at work or home, had left them feeling depressed."

Why? Well:

"Working long hours, arguments, proper division of household chores and poor sex were cited equally by men and women as the most common sources of problems."

Who has had (or is having) a mid-life crisis? Or, possibly more interestingly, have you observed another having a mid-life crisis?

Life is too good for me at present to have a Crisis. It is the Dawn of a New Era and I am Happy !

"Working long hours, arguments, proper division of household chores and poor sex were cited equally by men and women as the most common sources of problems."

that's ^^^ the most common sources of problems? man, you should try following the Scottish football team
doesn't it really depend on how the survey was carried out and how the questions were posed?

1. do you think working long hours, having arguments, lack of sharing in household chores and poor sex are common sources of problems?

i think we'd all answer yes.

and there are a lot of people that will claim to be 'depressed' if the milks gone off. they'd probably phone in sick just to recover as well. so i hold little regard for such surveys, unless the current 35-44 year crop are whinging winey bags who like nothing better than a moan and to dwell in self pity by blaming everyone and everything for their lot in life.
Memo to the ED: What you doing at AB towers today?....playing scrabble?........stilll no answer to my e-mail, but maybe you're on the case, so i'll leave you to it. :0)
52 in November and i havent had time to have one so dont think its gonna happen-in fact its not as im happy :)

Think its a man thing :)
Dris, don't think it is just a man thing, mind you, they are more likely it would seem, to 'stray' for the want of a better term, - find a younger woman, simply to prove to themselves that they 'still got it'.

Women are probably more sensible and just get on with accepting the fact that we are getting older, IMHO that is!

But I also agree with alot of what Ankou has said.
ah, so its not mostly wimmin appearing on 10 years younger, supersize/superskinny, gwoks fashion fix then......... !!
