Carpet Fitter & Dog Poo

OMG we have just had two new bathroom carpets fitted this morning and once the carpet fitter left I noticed he had trod dog poo on both new carpets and you can smell through the whole house. I didn't notice until I had a closer inspection afetr he left. I have rung the company and they are sending him back now. What do I do? Do I make him clean the whole area that he has walked throughout the house? Help!!!

not turned up yet Ankou so I rang them back, they said that they have rung the carpet fitter and he has no dog poo on his shoes and they are sending another guy out shortly to investigate. Both carpets were offcuts and in fact it looks to me like the dog poo was already on the carpet as it is quite engrained into the carpet.

I've shown it to all my girlies in the office..... they're all tucking in their stomach and anal muscles now............!!!!

You should have inspected the work after it was finished before he left. There is a chance he will change his shoes before he comes back to you .If it was on the carpet he should have noticed it and told you. I would stand my ground and demand it lifted .
