Hello all. I think the time has finally come for 'the haircut', whereby the long hair I've nurtured for over 20 years needs to be chopped into something more manageable, and I'm wondering what you Body & Soul folk would recommend style wise as it's been a looooong time since I've had anything over than a trim! I have no idea what I'd want, but I do know that I *don't* want:
A Skinhead cut
Some poncy style cut that takes an hour to set up in the morning
Something that requires heaps of gel / glue
Oh, and I'm a chap, by the way ;-)
I just want to look in the mirror, grunt, and run a rake through my hair before drifting sullenly off to work.
How about putting a pudding basin on your head , then cut away any hair showing:)
Sereously ... Just tell the hair dresser that you don't want anything fancy - just something that only requires a comb through it in the morning. If they are good and are well experienced they should know exactly what to do.
What about one of those styles they cut with poodle clippers - shorter on the sides, then a little longer on top, then you could maintain it yourself for only the outlay on the clippers.
@brenda - oh yes I'll miss my hair :-( I may have to have a small memorial service for it.
@gingejbee - 40 plus?!?! Cheeky so and so! I'm not there yet :-p
Sounds like short back & sides and longer on top could be the way to go. Scary prospect! Then I'll just have to compensate for it somehow. Hmmmm. Grow a huge ZZ Top beard or get an armful of tattoos... :-D
