It's Friday night, I imagine a bunch of us are on the old sauce by now (or tea, or cocoa etc).
How are we all doing drink wise ?

My evening is being lubricated by three tins of Okocim Mocne (pronounced "mots-ney" apparently) with a 7-Up top ! Gotta love those Poles and their magnificent beer :-)

Dying not so quietly - the mother and father of chest infections - trying to stay upright for a while!

antibiotics. plenty fluids, light food.breathing exercises. to produce sputum and bed rest, analgesia ie panadol to keep temp down, comfy bed clothes.....................ciggies?

Oh anne bless you - you must have a nursing background somewhere there. Doc and I agreed years ago antibiotics don't work on me, run out of milk this lunch time, dont want any food, I will settle for any breathing - sputum has blood flecks in it but at least it is coming up (tmi - soz) cant take any more meds than I am on and am fed up with sight of bed after 2 days of this. Can't even stand the thought of a ciggie. But thanks for the kind advice :o)

do you have a nice comfortable chair, possition your pillows around it put your feet on a stool, and keep trying to get that gunge moved, dont forget the fluids.are you on your own ? if so keep your phone nearby in case you feel unwell. look forward to seeing your post in the morning take care

I recommend a huge mug of finely chopped ginger-root and honey tea - made with a socking great lump of fresh ginger root (at least 1 1/2" square chunk) and maybe a bit of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
