Can anybody suggest where I could go to find people who were on a plane along with my wife and I coming back from the Dominican Republic a few years ago? The plane took off from the airport and an hour into the flight there was an explosion from the right hand wing and there was a smell of burning yet the pilot flew for a further 7 hours before diverting to Manchester instead of going to our destination in Glasgow because the crew claimed that he wouldn't be allowed to take off again if he landed in Glasgow. I have contacted Thomas Cook on a number of occasions but have gotten nowhere with them so I was hoping that I could find other people who were on the flight with us. Somebody suggested that I go onto facebook but I don't think this would work

And the point is?
what for?
That sounds frightening!!
Never say never..
If the plane was not airworthy /unsafe it would not be allowed to take off from any airport
Check with the airline you flew with, not Thomas Cook, they should tell you.
I am wondering why you want to find them now, if it happened a few years ago. (Just being a nosey bu88er, I guess).
7 hours is a long time for a plane to be flying if it's defected or malfunctioning or damaged. Perhaps the pilots knew what they were doing, you live to tell the tale...
