Swollen glands

I had to have e procedure in hospital last fri where I was put out for about an hour. Since then the glands underneath my tongue have been swollen, they're not painful but they feel out of place. Is this common after anesthesia?

The procedure had nothing to do with my mouth.

If it was local anaesthesia that you had, then I cannot explain it, however if it was under general anaesthesia, then it can easily be explained by the tube, either through you mouth or down your nose (depending upon the type of operation that you were undergoing, traumatising the back of your throat or mouth. The tube is for delivering the anaesthesia to your lungs.

This problem should settle within 2 or 3 days, then if not go and see your GP

Thanks sqad, didn't think of the tube thing, it was general anaesthesia. Feel better already.
