Have become brain dead!! Can anyone help on the following

24A Tidal inlet makes countryside initially stink (5) c - u - k

11a (Should this read "stretch of the Thames...?") - if so, then - is-is
5d Warmish - i (yours truly) (in) w(estern) + anag 'marsh' (an odd clue that doesn't quite read correctly?)
24a Creek - c(ountryside) + 'reek'

I wasn't happy with the clue for 10a either, but suppose that -

Rucksack = Backpack = "to walk/hike with a pack..."

...Don't get "in former times", though am not firing on all cylinders :-)
