I am thinking of buying a netbook, I realise the various limitations in terms of graphical capability so it will be used for internet primarily, I was wondering though could I store an amount of music and photographs on it without it affecting its overall performance?

also are there any netbooks that are recommended by anyone?

thank you for the advice guys x
To be fair warranties will not cover software problems as they are more often than not user caused.

If you want to get it usable again for free daffy follow the directions here, it won't be windows, but the eeebuntu version of linux is optimised for netbooks and works really well (it's what I have on mine)

If you need any further info on getting it going just ask.
My son has an Acer One and has no complaints - seems like a good little netbook.
Thanks Chuck, i've bookmarked the page and will mention it to her tomorrow, i'm sure I can borrow a flash drive from someone to accomplish the task, my daughter will be so happy to have her netbook up and running again :)
