I have an assessment next week for a role I applied for through an agency. Its a 3 hour assessment consisting of basic maths, English, Data entry and Call handling.
Does anyone know how the call handling is assessed and what is involves ? I fear this to be the worst bit !
i would imagine either it will be a real call or a fake call. Someone will listen in to what you are saying to the other person and how you handle the problems or queries that come up. The other person will listen in with a headset, so they can hear both sides
Sounds like an an assessment to see if you can go :
"Hello J Bloggs PLC, Tiffany speaking, how may I help you?"
"...just to let you know, this call may be recorded and used for training purposes"
(or words to that effect) I'm sure you'll be able to handle it.
YOU WILL MOST LIKELY BE GIVEN BASIC TRAINING FOR THE CALL HANDLING. IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE THIS TYPE OF WORK BEFORE THEY WON'T EXPECT YOU TO SAIL IN AND KNOW EVERYTHING. MOST PEOPLE WOULD RATHER TEACH YOU IN THEIR OWN WAY AS THEY ARE WORKING WITH SOMEONE WHO HASN'T PICKED UP BAD HABITS FROM PREVIOUS JOBS. DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT TOO MUCH., AND THE VERY BEST OF LUCK.
