Vauxhall Vectra Wiper Problems

Hi; my 2007 vauxhall vectra front wipers only works on full speed, I think it may be the motor or an electrical problem in the stalk.
Windscreen wash etc all work it is just the intermitant and slow speed that dont.
Can you help?

my 1 wiper stopped working the other week and would only work on fast but didn't go all the way up or it went up and stayed upright against the a-pillar.
i took the wiper arm off and found the splines had worn on the 1 side inside the arm, check this.
if not, it sounds like the stalk switch itself. expensive repair but should get 1 cheap off a breaker.

It's probably the electric rheostat that sits on the blower that's the problem, you can also get one of those from a breakers..
