What the hell is going on with hotmail? I've been sent a word document which I cannot save to my computer or memory stick as hotmail makes me open it in something called Sky drive - what on earth is that? I've tried emailing hotmail but all I get is an automated reply which is gobbledygook!!!! I'm fuming as it's really important that I can save this document. Does anyone know what I should do?
TIA

Could you not forward it to yourself - then open it?

you should see the name of the file at the top of your message when you open it and just below it it should say "download"

Just click on the word download.

It's been sent to my hotmail inbox so I can't forward it to myself!. The problem is I can't edit the document or save it to my hard drive or memory stick. It's like I can only view it 'online'.
Sky drive is a file sharing process. Sounds like the sender has uploaded it there. Open in sky drive and see if there is a download option or save as option. Sorry I am a bit vague, not used Sky drive before!

Otherwise ask the sender to just send it again as an ordinary attachment.

She did send it as an ordinary word document. It's something to do with Microsoft, I think. I can open it but can't edit or save it
