this week i recieved a letter addressed to a local man in my village, but with our house address on.

Yesterday, i recieved a sim card with the name of someone i do not know but with our house address.

In this day and age of identity theft have I become the victim/ or are being used in an identity scam?

I think you will be safe. Only a fool would use your address as a delivery address!

Have a word with the people who sent you it if it will ease your mind.
We repeatedly receive letters for someone who doesn't live at our address and can't have done for over 10 years. They are to do with stocks and shares so you'd think he's have told them he moved. Yet when I called them to ask them to stop sending they said they can only change the address with the account holders permission for data protection... I said what about protecting his date from me opening the post and pillaging his accounts!!! Unbelievable really.
