I keep getting calls from someone with an Indian accent telling me he's one of several companies employed by MSWindows to tell people in UK of a serious problem affecting their PC. He wants me to switchon and then he will direct me so I can see what the problems are. Then he'll show me how to sort them. He gave me a tel no today : 020 331 83462 which I haven't tried yet ( asked how I could verify his call) and I know he will ring me back as over the last 6 weeks I have had one at least a week. Can anyone tell me if this is genuine? My PC does run a bit slow but it is old and I guess needs a cleanup. grateful for any advice. Maureen
Definite scam. How could they possibly know your PC is running slow. Some scammers ask you to give them access to your PC- never agree. They will charge you for nothing.
especially with that accent when they say hello my name is keith how many people from bombay with an asian accent are called keith???? scam scam !!!!!!
Do not phone the number. They will try to sell you software that is supposed to clean up your computer and make it faster. It won't and will probably just install a virus.

Cakelady. On no account should you entertain ANYONE, that is ANYONE who is not known to you.If the person rings again ask them to put it in writing and hang up.
